GUIDES & RESOURCES

Where to go when you want more than a card page. Everything here was checked to exist before it was listed — books carry the ISBN of the edition to look for, and videos link to channels rather than single uploads, because individual videos disappear.

THE CARD GAME

Pocket Deckers tells you what a card is. These tell you what to do with it — what is winning tournaments, what is coming next, and what the rules actually say.

THE VIDEO GAMES

A different game entirely, and what “Pokémon walkthrough” usually means.

FREE WALKTHROUGHS, AND USUALLY BEST

For walkthroughs specifically, the free resources beat the paid ones. They cover every game — including ones no printed guide has covered for fifteen years — and they get corrected when they are wrong. Every printed guide below is for one game only, and most are out of print. Start here before buying anything.

PRINTED GUIDES

Worth buying if you want something to read away from a screen, or a physical Pokédex to flip through. Check the ISBN — several publishers use near-identical titles.

Not every game has an official guide. Scarlet & Violet never received one, so every printed guide for it is unofficial — some of them priced as though they were not. Official guides for older games are largely out of print and resell well above cover price.

VIDEO

These are channels, not single videos — a specific video's link dies, a channel does not. Both are stronger on understanding the game than on route-by-route walkthroughs.

A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS

Two different games share the name. The first section is the trading card game this site catalogues; the second is the video game series.

Nothing on this page is sponsored and none of these links are affiliate links. The list is short because it only includes resources worth the recommendation.
